Developing a Research Question

Developing a Research Question
I am thinking of looking at blended learning. Currently I am using OneNote with my class. The students all have access to BYOD and regularly access my OneNote ClassBook. I am finding that mostly I am using Onenote as a note taking device and as a repository for my class notes. Effectively I have substituted pen and paper for note taking on OneNote. The types of activities the students are undertaking are at the Substitution phase on the SAMR rubric. Conversations with my students would indicate that taking the time to deliberately plan a blended learning course with purposeful implementation of technology at the modification and redefinition phase of the SAMR rubric would be beneficial.

My current questions surrounding blended learning are:
·         What is blended learning ? (definition)
·         What modes/types of blended learning are there?
·         How effective is blended learning? (engagement and achievement)
·         Does blended learning improve students’ skills for 21st century learning?
·         What tools are available, are free and work across multiple devices.
Has anyone tried blended learning in their class? How does it work in a NZ context?
